It's no secret that I am an avid GSuite for Education fan. What's not to love about a free platform that is versatile, trustworthy and accessible from any device? Google is always working, too, on new features and updates and this latest one is another game changer! I love this new Google Drawings option because of the way it can now be used within Google Docs. There has, admittedly, always been an issue with Google Docs in that the only way to insert objects such as shapes, arrows, and lines, was to create a new Google Drawing every time using insert > drawing. Docs then opened the Google Drawing app for you to design your image. When finished, using the save and close button popped the Drawing into the Google Doc. You were able to edit the Drawing from within the Google Doc used when you created it, but there was no easy way to use the Drawing over again or edit it to use in another Doc. It could be downloaded and saved as an image, but that meant the Drawing could no longer be edited or updated if needed.

I am willing to bet this will become one of the greatest tips you ever learned about manipulating text on the iPad! How many times have you made a mistake while typing and then struggled to tap, make the “blue bubble” appear, only to be frustrated by the entire process? Well, I am pleased to share with you the easier, faster, “Why did’t I know this?” method for dragging and dropping the cursor into just the perfect spot! To move the cursor on the iPad, simply tap and hold the space bar. When the virtual keyboard turns the color grey and the keys turn blank, you are then able to drag the cursor and drop it in any spot! This method is so much easier than fighting with the blue bubble! I hope you find this method for moving the cursor as easy and efficient as I have!
