To create a video begin by choosing from the list of ready-made templates. An engaging dashboard allows users to upload saved pictures, change styles, add text, and choose free music to play in the background!
Teachers are also able to use the site with up to 50 students as long as they agree to abide by the rules specified by the site. Animoto allows sharing to all of the popular social media sites as well linking or embedding to a website.
Here is a video I made of my husband's 50th birthday party. It took me less that five minutes!
Teachers will find the site useful for all sorts of projects. Have students create a video of their recent field trip or a special day of celebration. In place of writing an essay, have students dress up as characters and take action shots of a famous historical event or a novel being read in school; then turn the pictures in a video! Have fun!
